First Enquiry to our Bird Box
Just as I was having a shower, wondering if any birds were going to take up our offer of free accomodation, we were having an enquiry.
The box is supposed to be a Sparrow Terrace. Apparently they like to live in small communities – seems to make sense cos they always hang around in groups in our dead hedge.
Anyway – I think this one’s a tit (correct me anyone?) rather than a sparrow, and while this one was actually inside the box there was another who had a quick look at the right hand hole.
It does make me wonder how we’re going to get the garrage painted now – do you think they’ll mind if I unscrew the box for a couple of hours and sit it on the (flat) roof above while getting that bit of wall painted?

Apparently they revisited this morning – Andrea saw them not me.
the interest continues!
Funky as!! Glad you’ve got tennants! I suggest you don’t paint the wall as they may well not like the smell of paint- leave it until after they’ve nested and flown away. if you move the box the chances are they’ll abandon it and any eggs they’ve laid.
