Today, I made Elderberry Jam
What a domestic God I am.
Well, I couldn’t sit there and watch the elderberries just drop off the tree out the front, and I’d been meaning to do something with them for ages.
So this morning, while Sophie slept before church, I picked the berries and stripped them from their stalks with a fork.
And this afternoon, while Sophie slept after lunch, I made Elderberry Jam. I’m not sure it’s going to thicken up as much as I’d really like and prelimary tastings indicate an incredibly sweet jam, but so far I consider it a success!
