Charlie Groves: Musician - Producer - Composer
The other day I went to a gig by Charle Groves.
I really enjoyed jamming a few songs from the GoldFunk set with Charlie and Hilton at Simon and Alison’s 10th Wedding Anniversary party; so it was good to get out to The Lansdown and see him playing his own music.
I particulary liked the lyrics of Neil and Ryan which you can hear here:
Neil and Ryan say it’s better to burn out
Than to slowly fade away
But you can’t afford the luxury
Of breaking down today.
and
You stay up late just to hold back tomorrow
‘cos you might be hung out to dry.
I’ve been wondering why I refuse to go to bed early (I feel that I’m wasting an hour of the day if I go to bed at 11!) but perhaps this lyric exposes something more subconcious too.
Anyway - I enjoyed his songs so much I bought his album:
Thanks for the music Charlie - let’s play again soon!
