Dropbox – for syncing files between computers (and other things)
Hi folks,
I’ve been using
to sync files between a few computers. Especially useful cos you can share folders with other users, so I’ve shared a folder of student work with the computers I use for teaching IT. I can do my lesson prep at home, drop a file that we’re going to use in the folder and as soon as the computers at Include turn on – the file is there and waiting for the students.
Nice!
Anyway – this is what they say:
Dropbox is the easiest way to store, sync, and, share files online. There’s no complicated interface to learn. Dropbox works seamlessly with your operating system and automatically makes sure your files are up-to-date. Available for Windows, Mac, and Linux.
Anyway – if you think it’s useful, why not try it. If you use this link, you’ll get an extra 250MB free space (on top of the 2GB free) and so will I!

I’ve been using Dropbox and it rocks! The shared directories, public folder and the photo gallery are the killer feature!
David, Have you become a Dropbox guru yet? you get an extra 250 for that.
