So I’m going to try and remember all the things that I’ve had to be told or it’s taken me a long time to work out!

You can copy photos in to an existing draft email by clicking the folder button when in photo gallery view, copying the picture(s) you want then open up the draft email and paste them in.
To go striaght back to the top of a page in Safari – tap the top of the screen (where the time is). This also works to take you back to the top in your SMS message conversation viewer – which is useful for getting to the contact info.
If, when you’re typing, you want to put a number in between two letters you can drag the “_123″ button on to the number and the keypad will immediately flip back to QWERTY rather than you having to tap “ABC” again
If you want a different version of a letter, e.g. accented, tap and hold on the letter until the other options appear. Also works in URL address fields when there’s a “.com” button – tap and hold for “.co.uk”

Gorillcam to replace your iPhone native camera app. Loads in the same time and has optional: zoom, spirit level, ‘law of thirds’ grid, tap anywhere to take phot, anti-shake (takes photo only when you’re still), Burst mode, Time Lapse, Self Timer. The only down side is it take a little longer to save photos – you can carry on snapping away, just don’t exit the app till it’s saved them all.
PocketBible from Laridian. The best featured bible software that I’ve used, although it doesn’t have as many free translations. (luckily it transfered the licence to use the NRSV that I had bought when I used Laridian’s offering for Windows Mobile) I’m still waiting for an autocue stlye scroller for reading, also the devotion tracking features that the Windows Mobile software had.
MotionX GPS is my favourite GPS app – save 101 tracks and 303 waypoints with photos etc. Control your iPod from within the App and cache maps that you’re going to in advance (useful for travelling abroad)
RunKeeper has become my new jogging buddy. I mean – I’m new to jogging and haven’t got a real buddy yet!
